How to Make Your Life Feel Like You: The Art of Living Unapologetically

If Your Life Don’t Feel Like You… It’s Time to Fix That

Baby… let me tell you something. If your life feels like it belongs to a distant cousin you don’t even claim? Sit down, grab a peppermint, and let Auntie talk to you real quick.

Because somewhere between paying bills, showing up for everybody, and pretending to enjoy group chats you never asked to be in… you done slipped out of your own life like a wig in a strong wind.

But don’t worry. Auntie’s here to pin it back down.

Step 1: Stop auditioning.

Half y’all out here living like somebody’s about to hand you a callback for “Best Well-Behaved Adult.”
Newsflash: that role been canceled.
Live like you already got the part.

Step 2: Decorate your life like your favorite auntie house.

Meaning? Add flavor. Add softness. Add things that make you smile.
If you wanna keep a velvet robe on your chair, do it.
If you wanna drink juice out a wine glass, do it.
If you wanna hang fairy lights in the kitchen? Baby, LIGHT. IT. UP.

Step 3: Stop asking folks who don’t even know themselves what you should do with YOU.

Chile… why you asking lost people for directions?
That’s like asking Siri to explain your purpose—she tired and confused too.

Listen to your own spirit. She’s quiet, but she accurate.

Step 4: Let your quirks do the heavy lifting.

You snort when you laugh? Cute.
You need a nap before, during, AND after social events? Bless your heart—plan for it.
You only thrive when your environment feels calm? That ain’t being “extra,” that’s being aware.

You are not complicated. You are customized.

Step 5: When all else fails—ask yourself: “Would Future Me approve of this?”

If not?
Make a left turn.
A hard one.

Auntie’s Final Word

Your life should fit you like your favorite soft T-shirt—comfortable, familiar, and refusing to shrink in the wash.

And baby… when you finally start living like YOU?
Whew. The freedom? Delicious.
